Anyway, this was not a "party year" for him, which means unless you are turning 5 or a multiple of 5 you have a regular party, not a big party with friends. All Sumner really wanted was a cake with a Ninjago of some sort on top. Oh! and to go to Golden Corral (check) and Chuck E. Cheese (checking off this weekend).
At Target I saw this $12 Ninjago guy on sale for $5! Score! Cake topper - present all in one! ha ha I put the Ninjago guy together earlier in the day for Sumner and presented him on top of the cake. After the singing, we, of course, said "Make a wish and blow out your candles!"
Well, that stinky little brother Sawyer said he made a wish and blew them out first! Ugh!
So after the minor delay and relighting of the candles...I had to hold the Lego guy up (see below) because he almost took a nose-dive into the flames! Sumner got some cash, a Star Wars candy dispenser, some glowing lollipop light sabers (see bottom pic as he wields them in mega-Jedi fighting pose), some flat Lego building boards, and some ear phones that work through conduction! It was amazing! Sumner was stunned...he couldn't have been more pumped and excited! He could hear music in stereo for the first time in his life! Tears, people! It nearly brought tears to our eyes.
Cannot believe our little boy is 7! Amazing! Just amazing! We love him sooo much!
