The biggest tennis tournament of the year is over. I was kinda pulling for Venus. 'Cause I really felt like she wanted this to cap off her majors and she could retire. Plus, she's an American. But at the end of the day I didn't really care who won.
I did, however, want Roger Federer to win and he did fairly easily. I was hoping for a Big Four semifinals. Me and everyone else, but it wasn't meant to be with Rafa going out really early and the other 2 basically failing physically.
Bottom line...it's over and I can get my life back. I've been glued to the tv for 2 weeks.
Sidenote: I realized, as I am a massive hater of all things purple, that Wimbeldon is the ONLY time it is acceptable.

I was sitting down at my home computer to go through some emails. I must say that checking email from my chair under my umbrella at the beach all last week was much more fun.
Boo for beach vacation to be over. I'm ready to go back already.

Life Changing
Two Words:
So! Fantastic!
So I get a majority of my grocerices from Walmart. Mostly because it is sort of a one stop shop for me and I can get many things cheaper than other stores. Well, it usually takes about 2 hours from start to finish...leaving my house and returning to unloading to do the weekly grocery shopping.
Well, hello extra hour and half! I finally used their free pickup and I left my house at 1:45 for a scheduled pick up at 2:00. I arrived at the store and the girl was right at the door ready. She loaded the car and I was out of there and back home & unloaded by 2:15! I don't know why this has taken me so long! And...AND I saved money because I didn't grab stuff here and there that I didn't need.
Best part...it's FREE!!!!
So excited I had to return to the blog to tell about it!

Tarheels Win!
My favorite team won last night! Such a sloppy, messy win! However, a dubya is a dubya!

Countdown to Christmas
School is out. The class parties are over. Teacher gifts delivered. Now we can focus on some late mornings and having some fun at home. We have a few things to do over the next few days...dog doctor appointment, pitching/hitting lessons, some dinners with friends, and then celebrating with family.
Updates and photos to come!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Card Photo Shoot 2016
So the last week in November I told the kids to throw some clothes on and run outside and let's take our Christmas card pictures before the chaos/fun of Thanksgiving and the holidays. So it was like 4:00...the light was already dwindling and there was smoke in the air from area wildfires. That background is not camera trickery...it's smoky outside. Anyway...we finished in record time this year. I think it took us about 30 minutes to do the whole shoot. I guess it's a sign that the kids are growing up and everyone understands the following: "Look at the camera" "Smile for real" and "Stop moving" Also "Someone help hold up the baby" is no longer necessary.
Wellll...most of the time they listened. Surprisingly, Sumner is the hardest one to get to look and smile for real.
We tried a few group shots.
Some serious.
Trendy jumping...but I don't have the camera skills for that.
We did a few individuals.
Someone is a poser.
Gotta love this poser.
Well, most of the time you gotta love the poser.
I'm not sure what this hold-your-left-leg-up pose was about.
Mr. GQ...he didn't know I was taking this one.
Tough guy.
And this one was all about being perfect!
Perfection! After all the serious shots...this one was the one we used on the card. One where they were just being themselves. Although on the card I did zoom in a little. They were playing around and actually laughing and enjoying themselves.
But then reality hit...the light faded away...they wanted the clothes off...we had to head to a practice of some sort...eat dinner quickly...and I'm sure an argument picked up where it left off half an hour before! haha Love these crazy kids of mine.
