He asks every morning ALL week..."Is it Friday yet?"
He asks almost every day after preschool pick up..."Is PawPaw at the house?"
He asks at nearly every lunch time..."Can you call PawPaw to come up today?"
So on Fridays PawPaw arrives to lots of delighted screams and giggles. Sawyer is in full grin and the Sass is ready to rock. He entertains their play outside the clubhouse, pushes them on the swing set, and doles out the goods for their famous popcorn parties. PawPaw never comes empty-handed...popcorn, cookies, some candy and often gum. I don't love all the snacks, but I've long since tried to fight it. Then they patrol the yard looking for rogue sticks to throw in the fire pit. And usually they mow the yard...the highlight of Sawyer's week. And this is why Sawyer says, "PawPaw is my best friend." sniff
