I love for them to do it, but I am always so far from being chill and laid back. I'm running from kid to kid helping them to draw pictures or write their names with wax crayons. I'm guiding little hands to oh-so-carefully drop their eggs teetering on thin wire holders into the dye. I'm soothing little hearts that just cracked their 'favoritist' one...assuring them it will still look great and we'll put the crack on the bottom so we can't see it. I'm worrying that the dye will dribble onto the counter, ooze underneath the wax paper, and stain it like a Grateful Dead t-shirt. So I hope they remember the fun and not their crazy mother begging them to be careful and hurry up simultaneously because it's almost bedtime! ha
Please enjoy the egg-dyeing in all of its finery...
Still a little uncertain as to why she is holding up an egg for a photo op.
A smile that comes with experience.
Wearing his Star Wars workshirt...he was super eggscited to wrap his eggs in Star Wars plastic wrap thingys.
He was on repeat, "Mommy, Daddy, look at this one!"
