Post-Christmas Christmas Post

Christmas has come and gone.  It's always bittersweet.  The build up of excitement seems to end so suddenly.  The early part of December until Christmas is almost unbearable for the little ones and it certainly wears off on me!  It is easy to be excited.  We all look forward to the break from school and the routine...especially sleeping late!  Personally, I love the lights.  I don't know why, be it one little tree encircled with lights or a whole crazy chaotic jumble Clark Griswold-style, it just makes me happy.

Again this year we did our traditional things...We did our countdown calendar, the kids wrote letters to Santa, we decorated the house (each kid has their own tree), we made reindeer snacks, we made Christmas cutout cookies, we watched all of the Christmas movies, and we listened non-stop to the all-the-Christmas-songs-all-the-time radio station since the day after Thanksgiving!

The kids got most everything they wanted from Santa.  Minus the Future Foot they all wanted and the $10,000 Sumner wanted!  Bebe got clothes, Legos, money to ride horses.  Sass got the Calico Critters house and stuff to go in it, clothes/shoes, a tea set, and Legos. Sawyer got a wooden bat he's been wanting, clothes, snap circuits (think electrical engineering), an model engine to build, and a R2D2 journal.  Sumner got a big barrel composite bat, a BB8 droid, Legos, books, and a Disney Yoda for XBox.
They all got a mini foosball (fooseball? so?) table, candy, toothpaste, and so forth.  Spoiled rotten y'all.  I'm serious... I think they're getting to where they expect certain treats.  It's gonna be Crackdown 2016 for the four of them!

Anywho...pictures to hopefully come this week!  I'm trying to clean up and clear out.  I've taken three huge trash bags of clothes out of my closet, a massive box of toys out of the play room, piled up returns, and now I'm gonna sort through and decrease our Christmas decorations as I put them away this week.  Y'all I've got too much stuff!  So if I get time...I'm running Bebe to horse camp, running errands, and orchestrating an inaugural baseball camp this weekend...I'll put up pics!
