Easter and Spring Break

Easter has come and gone.  We've been up to our ears, pun intended, in bunnies, eggs, and candy.  Mostly candy.

It all started with a lily and decorations.  I LOVE an Easter lily for some reason.  I get one every year for the table.

We dyed eggs for the table.  When the "stink alarm" goes off...we'll have our annual Egg Chunkin' and throw them into the lake!  I think the kids like this part better than the dyeing of the eggs! ha ha

Then it's off to church for a Saturday egg hunt.  The Easter Bunny arrives in style!

After the bunny arrives...let the hunts begin.  Our church breaks it up into age groups.  AD was in the 3-4 year old category.  She had a great time filling her basket...one egg at a time.

The boys were ready for their turn.  Football is always on their brains! ha ha

Then Saw was up for the 5-6 year old group.  He was fired up and ready!  Took off like a shot!

Some eggs were a bit cracked.

Then it was time for Sumner's group...the 7-8 year olds.  He and his friends had strategies for getting the most eggs!  I think it worked because his basket was filled to the rim!!  Apparently diving for eggs was part of his strategy!

After the 9-10 year olds they have a Rotten Egg hunt where anyone can go get eggs.  Bebe was way too mature to go, of course.  Even though some of her friends went out there.  She was happy to walk around eating popcorn, ice slushies, and cotton candy.  She and her group of girls were not too cool to do the blow-up slides though.  Funny what she will and won't do these days.

Sunday morning the kids woke to find the Easter Bunny had been to our house.  He left a few treats at their seats and an egg hunt outside our house.  Somehow he even left each kid a chocolate bunny underneath their pillows.  They're still stumped as to how those bunnies got there without them feeling it!!  That sneaky bunny!

Then it was off to church...THE LORD IS RISEN!  I love this church service...it reminds me that while I have this precious time now with my babies that I will be with them forever when my time is up here on Earth.

Bless their hearts...I just can't get Sumner to look at the camera right!

So I just went with it!  Sometimes you just gotta be silly.

Hope your Easter was meaningful and fun!  Let full on Spring begin!
