The biggest thing that has happened over the last couple of weeks is the addition of a new family member! Santa's elves dropped of a puppy dog on our front door step one afternoon in response to their Christmas letters! The doorbell rang and Saw noticed a dog at the door and began yelling, "There's a dog at the door! A dog rang the doorbell!" The kids ran to the door and there was a little dog with a note...signed by Santa!
After much debate for a name, from Elfie to Ollie to Prancer to AJ, the kids finally unanimously agreed on ACE!
So here's...ACE! with bowtie!
I'm sure y'all will be hearing more about this little guy in the future!
So in a nutshell, the rest of Christmas went a little like this...
The kids posed for Mommy for the Christmas card!
(pre-Ace or I'm sure he woulda been in the photos)
We trimmed our chunky fat Christmas tree. This thing was 16 feet around!
We baked Christmas cookies!
Sass participated in a preschool Christmas play where she did the Shepherd Shuffle amongst other classics like Silent Night!
Wore matching Christmas sweaters...
Received awesome presents from understanding Uncle Penn
...and then slept with them.
Then FINALLY came the big night...Christmas Eve! Holiday pajamas were adorned!
Cookies were put in place with eggnog and carrots for the reindeer!
Santa snuck in and more fantastic presents awaited!

More presents received that sisters, who are 6 years apart, can share in and play together!
Then the clean up began...
Twelve days of Christmas my true loves gave to meeee...loads of dirty clothes and sheets for the laundry!
