We used to make reindeer cookies every year. That tradition is no more. However, a new tradition has continued.
To make our reindeer cookies we'd use peanut butter cookie mix, add pretzel antlers, cinnamon red hots for noses, and chocolate chips for eyes. The kids like to add ingredients, plop cookie dough on the cookie sheet, and decorate, but then no one ever wanted to eat them. Kids not eating cookies...that is strange.
So last year I switched up my game plan. And thus began the making of reindeer donuts!
They each made 4 donuts with pretzel antlers and red m&m noses. They gobbled up two and saved two to put in their lunchboxes for the next day's lunch. The loved them! No reindeer treats to toss again this year!
