It started about 1-2:00 on Tuesday! The kids got out of school early. Daddy was working from home luckily, and when we gathered about 2 inches (by about 5:00) it was time to do a little sledding in our driveway. It was still snowing (an icy snow...not a fluffy snow...boo) and they were loving it. We haven't had a snow around here since Sass was a baby...like 3 months old! So this was her first snow. At first she wasn't impressed because she and Bebe snuck on out before the rest of us were ready and she didn't have on gloves. She came in in like 5 minutes screaming and crying that her hands were hurting and stinging. She'd been playing in the snow with her sister with NO GLOVES. I was afraid she wouldn't even want to go back outside, but the magical lure of the snow called her back. That and all the other kids were squealing with delight and sister doesn't want to miss a thing!
I'm still trying to figure out my new camera. I took like 77 shots, but these were the only ones that were pretty decent. Plus, it's hard to shoot with it getting dark and icy snow falling at a pretty good clip.
I'll put up some tomorrow or Saturday of them the next day!
Love the pics of your snow bunnies! Our snow was too powdery to make a snowman or even make good snow balls for them to throw at each other. They still had a great time, they were just a little disappointed. Day three of no school about did me in! So glad they were able to go back yesterday!!
