Hanging On By a Thread

My summer pocketbook was in bad shape.  Like really bad shape.  It was literally hanging on by a thread.  I'd been looking at a couple of stores and at Goodwill before it got too bad, but just couldn't find a suitable replacement.  So I carried it, and carried it, and carried it.  Looking like this...yes...I carried it in public.

...by a thread!

I don't really have to have the latest or greatest pocketbook.  I don't need or want an expensive "handbag".  I need something big enough to hold all my crap without it looking like I'm still carrying a diaper bag.  (sidenote:  I didn't even use a diaper bag for the last 2 kids...it sits in my trunk for occasional use)  So size is important, but it also can't look crazy baggy and mustn't have too many dingle-dangles or buckles and junk on it.  I like a little color, but will settle for a brown or black if it suits my tastes.  As plain and tailored as I feel like I am most of the time...I have the hardest time finding something I like.

However, since people were starting to stare at me...and my own family members were begging me to find something at Goodwill or wherever...I finally found this little love...

brand new, orange, tailored, roomy - LOVE
