So here's what's been going on at HomeBase.
Since last week...
*we've finished preschool and are on to finding new and exciting things for Sawyer & AD to do while waiting for the big kids to come home. Oh my GAWD.
*we've been swimming with friends (Bebe has also had a couple of play dates with some new friends)
*we've had baseball/tee ball practice and games. Both boys are getting some good hits!
*I've delivered an end-of-the-year present to Bebe's teacher. I collected money from some of the families in the class and we gave her a "Dinner and Dishes" present. I gave her plates, napkins, and forks along with gift cards to 8 different restaurants. I also included a lanyard with her son's university logo on it that he will be attending in the fall. She deserves it and I was pleased with how it turned out. She loved it and cried.
*we purchased a $300 go-kart at Goodwill for $15 and Jason brought it back to life! Love that guy!
*I splurged and bought new oars for my canoe! Is $17.99 a splurge? I don't know, but they're NEW!
*Jason's mom took Bebe out shopping to celebrate her finishing up her first big end of grade testing! Wow! What a picture of shopping trips to come in the future...
she wanted a crop jean jacket (mostly because her bestie has one), some pleather flip flops with hot pink straps, some turquoise rubber flip flops, some too cool for real sunglasses with a subtle rainbow pattern (very tween-ager), a white tank top (secretly for me to slip under some of her other tank tops), a cute skirt, and several pairs of earrings. EARRINGS...that's a whole 'nother post!
*dance pictures were taken. Bebe looked so grown up and pretty. I didn't order pics (crazy how expensive pictures are)! I'll take some on recital night...on the stage!
*we've signed Sumner up for tennis lessons. He's been asking for 2 YEARS! Something tells me he really wants to do this!
*I've just realized that with only 3 more days of school I was totally banking on packing up the alarm clock for awhile. You know, get up late and lounge in pj's until mid-morning. Until...I looked at my schedule for the summer and realized most camps start at like 8:00 or 9:00 and we'll have to be on the road at least 30 min in advance. Plug back up the alarm! But at least it won't be going off at 6:15!
