Quick Summer Fun Recap

This summer we had a Summer Fun To-Do List with about 60 items on it. It consisted of things as simple as build a sandcastle, paint, and make popsicles to things like melt crayons in the sun to make new crayons, ride horses, and have a lemonade stand. We actually completed about 95% of the list. We did miss seeing the 4th of July parade...but mommy had pneumonia and wasn't quite up to it! :( Oh well. 

It was fun to do and kept ideas at the ready for some of those summer days where everyone is hot and bored.

Some of our standout fun trips...
*seeing a minor league team play whilst visiting one of my friends followed by traipsing through a river
*try skiing/wakeboarding
*going to THE Blowing Rock followed by lunch and shopping (climbing on rocks is great, but climbing on a HUGE rock is fantastic!)
*see fireworks
*catch fireflies
*go to a Children's Museum
*etc.
*but the one on the To-Do list that was the BIG one...the one that the kids had been asking to do for years was to have a lemonade stand
