If No One is Sick...We'll Create A Reason for a Doctor Visit

Since someone in this family has either had a fever, cough, pneumonia, some sort of injury, whatever since the middle of June we're just gonna keep the ball rolling with a little surgery in July.  I mean the coughs are about to clear up, so, by golly, we better make sure we don't have a completely healthy week around here.  At the end of July Sawyer is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out.  We might do another set of ear tubes, but we're not sure about that yet.  He has some fluid behind his ears, which luckily hasn't caused an ear infection in months.  However, we don't know how long it's been sitting there and according to his hearing tests it causes him to have some hearing loss (temporarily).  That kinda stinks when you're trying to grow and develop your skills in your native tongue each and everyday!  He also snores like a mad man!  I'm not talking the inhale/exhale of a wittle puppy wif a wittle stuffly nose.  I'm talking the inhale/exhale of lion delcaring himself King of the Safari!  We're talking T-Rex level sounds here!  He gasps for breath at times, which really breaks your heart.  Let's put it this way...his tonsils are so big at times they cover 70% of throat.  How he swallows his food is a miracle!  Anyhoo, say a little prayer for us around the 27th!  Although I hope this will help him...I hate to EVER have anyone put to sleep for any reason!

On a side note:  Sawyer is so funny.  He has this way of stopping what he is doing and looking at you unlike any of the other kids.  He is looking at you...observing you...in a way that makes you feel like whatever very normal thing you're doing...like say washing a dish, eating a bite of your dinner, putting on your pj's...is like a totally alien thing.  Like you just descended from the mother ship and he can't quite comprehend what he is seeing.  And usually when he realizes you're watching him watching you he gives a little grin and runs away!
