Happy Birthday to my little man, Sawyer! And to my biggest kid, Jason!
My boys sharing a birthday (with Nana) is pretty special. I love both of these guys so much!
So today my little man turns 6! Sawyer is a busy, busy guy. He plays hard and sleeps hard. He will go and go and go all day and then you know he's tired by his eyes. They get these dark circles under them and then within minutes he'll be nearly nodding off. He's a rough and tumble guy on the outside, but he's really a bit of a shybug. He loves attention, but only when he's really comfortable around you. He is a HUGE jokester who thinks everything deserves a laugh. He assumes everyone is in on his joke and therefore he can often take things too far. He can be a bit overzealous, but he is not malicious and truly wants to please.
Kindergarten has been quite the experience for him. He's learned to read...completely! He didn't know one word basically when he started and now he's reading just above his grade level. So proud of him...it has not been easy. He's had to work very, very hard. His daddy has been the best motivator. He's his daddy's biggest fan and wants to make him happy.
He loves his sports, but isn't always the cheeriest when it comes to getting ready for practice! He kind of mopes about and says he does not want to go, but then almost throws a fit to go if you threaten to not take him. It can be frustrating sometimes. However, he is happy as a clam when he is there and his smile and giggle will make you put up with all of his antics!
Sawyer:
He loves his Daddy the most.
He loves his Mommy when he needs comfort.
He loves his siblings sometimes.
He loves money. Cash money.
He loves his wallet.
He loves Legos.
He loves playing soccer.
He loves the Steelers and Troy Polamalu and Big Ben.
He loves the Tarheels.
He loves tractors.
He loves Ace.
He loves candy.
He likes playing baseball.
He likes chips and queso.
He wants to play basketball next winter.
He wants to play football.
He wants to own a farm when he grows up so he and his daddy can work on it together and live together forever. (I think I'm invited.)
He likes Skylanders.
He likes to play games on his phone.
He likes swimming.
He likes the beach.
He likes boat rides.
He likes to be a jokester.
He likes chess.
He can be kinda sneaky.
He doesn't like school.
So Happy Birthday to my little boy! I love him so much and I'd hug him to pieces if I could ever catch him! At least when he's worn slap out I can sneak in and kiss him on his forehead while he sleeps!
Tonight we will celebrate with presents and a bite to eat after his baseball game! And special guests Uncle Penn, Aunt T, and PawPaw Benny are coming to see him play! YAY!
