Day 1 & 2: Vacation Extravaganza

We headed East for Day 1 of our Vacation Extravaganza a day and a half early!  We decided literally at the last minute to head out on Friday evening rather than wait for Sunday morning to begin our holiday adventure.

First stop after driving halfway to our beach house was a hotel with a pool!  Sounds exciting, no?  Well, an indoor pool for the kids is always tops on their list!  They had a blast.  My kids love, I mean LOVE, a hotel! One of their favorite things is thinking about the hotel breakfast in the morning.  They can't wait to see what's offered...so many choices.

Day 2, aka Saturday, began at a children's museum.  It was a little bit awesome.  Perfect for my age group of kids.  The big kids immediately, as in they didn't even tour anything in the building for 30 minutes, stopped for a game of chess.

This place was a kid's dream play space!  They had a ton of themed areas from a vet's office, to an ambulance/nursery area...from a farm to a TV helicopter setup...from a submarine to a pirate ship.

This vet's office was a HUGE hit.  Tons of stuffed animal dogs and kitties...syringes, shampoos, protective "lamp shade" collars, x-rays, cages, dog bowls...you name it!

This museum was a great way to kick off our trip.  Not to mention...the kids were already filled with joy simply from their fabulous time at the hotel breakfast!

After a couple of hours at the museum...and a couple of hours on the road...we arrived here!
Aaahh!  Now vacation can really begin!
