Sticker Shock

After dropping off Sawyer at preschool today, Sass and I headed out to run a few errands.  We hit the bank first.  As we pulled up to the teller, or the tube, because does any bank allow you to actually pull up to the building anymore, she asked if they would give her stickers.

Because sometimes they do and sometimes they don't...I replied, "I don't know.  We'll see what happens."  I rolled down her window so the teller, who is 30+ feet away, might get the hint that I had a little kid in the car who wanted stickers.

I know what you're thinking...why don't I just ask the teller for stickers?  'Cause my kids like the stickers for about 7 minutes and then I find them all over the car, in the laundry, in their rooms stuck to God-knows-what, etc. and I really don't want stickers from the bank.

So when the tube came back to us I opened it up and announced, "Nope.  No stickers this time."

To which Sass replied, "Well, that was just rude."

I tried to soften the sentiment, "Maybe they were just out of stickers this time.  Or maybe they didn't see you."

Her retort, "Or maybe they were just RUDE!"

Tee hee!  That's my girl!
