The weekend before Christmas we spent the day with Meme and Sonny. We had a nice time. All was good and healthy. But darn it...I didn't take one picture.
We did make our Santa cookies the next day though and I actually remembered to get out the camera.

Then...
The night before Christmas Eve the Sass started running a 103 degree fever and apparently was sick as a dog. She was already on medication for a UTI and is constipated...so she was a real pleasure to be around during the merriest of times.
So Christmas Eve day Sawyer began running a low 100 degree fever. Aaarrgh! So instead of visiting cousins, going to my Dad's, and attending the Christmas Eve church service the day was spent entertaining 2 healthy, wild ones and keeping sick watch over 2 ill, unhappy characters. Jason was working so I had the fort to myself.
However, when Jason got home I took the 2 healthy kids to my Dad and Jan's for some Christmas cheer and presents! It was a much needed break from the sick ward at home. Again...I didn't take one picture! Bad mommy.
When we got home no one was in the mood for Christmas pj's in front of the fire. Big downer for me. That's one of my favorite pics of the year...smiling faces anticipating Santa's arrival.
Anyway, moving right along...Christmas Day! Santa came!
Sass started out so miserable she laid on the couch and didn't want to look at, much less open, any Santa presents. Sawyer was feeling a little better so he was all in! Once some of Sass' meds kicked in she was a little more in the game.

| Finally, the Christmas pj's shot...the next morning! |
Bebe went to Atlanta the next day (Thursday), and came home on Friday as planned. She seemed all good. However, she was really sick Saturday and Sunday! Fever, cough, miserable.
Somehow...please don't let me jinx him...Sumner was spared.
Regardless of the illness...the kids were spoiled. We ate too much. It was a great Christmas with family!
Now...phew...2013 is covered!
