*Sumner was in his first parade a couple of weeks ago and then again last Saturday. One parade he walked in with his hula hoop and one he rode on the "float" (it was like a big wagon) for his tumbling studio. Bebe did both of these parades too, but she's a veteran...she did it last year. I think he really enjoyed it. He was like super-pumped after walking in the first one. The second one was like 3 miles so he decided not to walk. He like it, though I think he got bored riding. Bebe...this may be her last parade season...she was underwhelmed with both.
*Then in other exciting news...Sumner lost his first tooth! The bottom left if you're looking at him (for those that are keeping a chart) ha ha. He had a wiggly tooth for about a week and then as he was walking into his room it just randomly fell out. He was rather excited about it. I think he was relieved because he thought it was going to bleed a lot when it eventually came out. It did not. The Tooth Fairy almost forgot to come. The Tooth Fairy's husband woke her at 2:30 a.m. to ask her if she had visited the little boy and she had not! So she put on her wings and slipped $4 in his tooth pillow! According to her report, Sumner woke up and looked right at her, but went right back to sleep! He did not seem to remember seeing her the next morning, but was very excited to have been visited for the first time by the Tooth Fairy! Whew!
*Sumner started Tae Kwon Do last weekend as well. He is just doing a trial month, but I'm afraid he is going to like it. A lot. It is quite possibly the most expensive thing he could possibly do (aside from racing) and it takes a lot of time. But he LOVED his first go-round. Bebe trained for 2.5 years several years ago, so we felt like it was at least only the right thing to do to give him the opportunity to try. We'll see how the rest of the month goes, but I'm thinking you're about to see a few pics of him on the ol' blog with a white pj uniform!
