Also, I saw somewhere (probably several places) that this momma took pictures of her kids drawings and paintings to "keep" them forever. I couldn't bring myself to do that at first. But when the third kid hit preschool and started bringing home his art I realized keeping even just the "totally created by them"s was still going to be too much. So, I started taking pictures of the kids work. I'm starting slow...I'm starting with the ones that I can't save in this one container I have for artwork because of their size. So, pieces they just stuck together that the teacher precut for them goes out in recycling and the mega-art now gets it photo taken before heading to the reycle bin.
It is still very hard to throw out some of their sweet little pictures. It just doesn't feel right to do it...breaks my heart, but I know most people do it without even giving it a thought. I know my kids won't even probably care much about it down the road, but when I'm old as the hills and my kids are off doing their own thing...I will LOVE it! Anyway, here are a few of the latest art projects that I've taken pictures of...
I think the title says it all.
Same here...I think the title is self-explanatory. I mean can't you see the green trashcan with the orange handle? You see the two muddy tires on the muddy road, right? And, of course, you see the driver in the cab of the truck waiting while the trash loads in the top? Of course you do!
You got this one, I'm sure.
Sawyer wanted me to take a picture of this artwork, too. And I quote, "Take a picture of the car, Momma, of what I did."
Sumner finds this one hilarious! He drew the fireman driving the truck backwards. A real knee-slapper!
And another of Sumner's snowmen.
Bebe's heart art.
Please forgive all typos. It's like trying to type in a hurricane. All 4 kids are home today due to a teacher workday. So it's typing in chaos. I got one kid trying to stand up on the train table, one asking me to put a shoe on Barbie, one shooting darts at the tv cabinet, and one that wants a third bowl of cereal! Gotta go! Happy Monday, y'all!
